QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER

Position Description

The Quality Control Manager facilitates the production of high quality architectural and structural precast concrete products, including inspection, sampling, and testing. Applies experience and sound judgment to ensure all components are manufactured to the highest of standards, and to create a culture among employees on the shop floor that revolves around safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Works closely with the production and engineering departments to prevent problems from occurring and to solve them when they do occur.

Experience, Skills, and Educational Requirements Required for Success:

• Formulates and maintains quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
• Creates and implements inspection criteria and procedures.
• Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with others to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
• Provides inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
• Directs quality control inspections and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
• Designs and implements quality control training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
• Communicates with engineers concerning questions or problems with drawings or details.
• Prepares company for Precast Concrete Institute (PCI) Audit every 6 months.
• When requested by Plant Manager, participate in GC, Architect, and Owner plant visits and perform plant tours.
• Conducts research and development as needed.

• Embed Inspection
• Aggregate and Cement Receiving
• Tracks sample fabrication
• Reviews stressing calculations
• Inspects panels in the yard, noting appearance and overall quality, making sure needed repairs are made.
• Works with production daily on improving overall quality by communicating observations.
• Provides support to Engineering Department as required.
• Reviews drawings of pieces to be produced daily.
• Keeps records of all materials received and panels produced and produces quality control reports.
• Responds to customer or engineering requests.

Professional Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years experience in Quality Assurance
• Advanced math skills
• Ability to read and interpret Building Code requirements
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret architectural and engineering documents
• PCI Level III required
• ACI I
• Solid understanding of plant practices and quality control procedures
• Ability to identify and solve color/texture/pouring issues
• Ability to identify and participate in the solution for repeat casting problems
• Ability to diagnose and remedy concrete strength or consistency problems
• Must be skilled in using computer and Excel and Word software

ARCHITECTURAL PRECAST PATCHER

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Position Description

The Maintenance Technician performs specific preventative maintenance on all company vehicles and equipment, including crane, fork truck, front-end loader, pickup trucks, yard air compressor, and man-lift, at recommended mileage or engine-hour intervals, including oil and filter changes, checking fluid levels, and addressing any other repairs as they occur. Also performed is general repair and maintenance for the office and plant, and snow removal as needed. A strong work ethic and team player attitude is essential for success. MOLD / CABINET MAKER CARPENTER

Position Description

The successful candidate who joins our team will have experience in carpentry, rough and finishing, and have the ability to create precise, high quality wooden forms for a variety of precast concrete products. Our carpenter’s work is fast-paced, yet precise and thorough, cutting pieces of material and installing them one piece at a time to ensure accuracy. This work differs from general carpentry, similar to cabinet making carpentry, which does not use exacting methods. Mold work often includes working with sealers, adhesive, epoxy coatings and rubber casting.

Experience, Skills, and Educational Requirements Required for Success:

• 1+ years carpentry experience.
• Familiarization with blueprints.
• Aptitude to learn to cut accurate complex, compound miters and copings.
• Possess an excellent eye for fine detail.
• Must be very precise and exact with measurements and cutting tools.
• Possess excellent basic math skills, including fractions and angles.
• Familiarization with a variety of carpentry tools, including a power miter saw, table saw, tape measure, square, angle gage, chisels, router, band saw, planer, drill press, panel saw, belt sander, jig saw, joiner and shaper.
• Need manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and physical ability to perform stated duties, including a good sense of balance.
• Have the ability to work long hours to meet scheduling demands.
• Maintain a positive attitude working as team member of the mold shop supporting the needs of the production line.
• Willingness to take direction and learn the trade.

YARD LABORER

Position Description

• Assists yard crew in sandblasting, patching, acid etching of concrete products.
• Has ability to learn to operate 65 ton all-terrain crane to move large wall panels & other concrete products.

• Operates front end loader to transport various materials.
• Assembles concrete products on pallets and wraps securely and appropriately for delivery to job site.
• Organizes and cleans yard and removes debris to keep a safe environment for all employees and clients.
