ARCHITECTURAL PRECAST PATCHER

Position Description

The Architectural Precast Patcher will perform concrete patching and repair on architectural precast concrete products using a variety of hand and power tools. A strong work ethic and team player attitude is essential for success. Experience, Skills, and Educational Requirements Required for Success:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience patching architectural precast concrete
• Understanding of patching techniques using varieties of colors, textures, and finishes
• A keen eye for detail in color matching
• Experience with acid washing is a plus
• Ability to accurately weigh correct proportions of materials from approved patch mix design
• Ability to work without direct supervision in a fast paced environment
• Ability to produce high quality work
• Operational experience driving a fork truck and man lift
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive basis
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather elements
• May require some overnight travel

QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Position Description

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of Quality Control functions and routine tests on all concrete products, including daily compressive strength testing, pre/post pour inspections, and maintaining clear, precise and accurate records according to PCI requirements. Will also assist with stripping, setup, and pouring when necessary. A strong work ethic and team player attitude is essential for success. Experience, Skills, and Educational Requirements Required for Success:

• Associates degree or equivalent; or equivalent in years of related experience or training preferred
• Strong ability in performing mathematical calculations
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret architectural and engineering documents
• Prior experience in concrete testing is preferred, but will train the right person
• PCI Level 1 Preferred
• ACI Level 1 Preferred
• Proficient with computer software, primarily MS Office
• Experience in resolving problems and dealing with difficult situations
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, with minimal supervision
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work without direct supervision in a fast paced environment
• Willingness to work as part of a team

The successful candidate who joins our company will perform tasks as assigned by the Foreman involving the production of precast concrete products; smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using a variety of hand and power tools. A strong work ethic and team player attitude is essential for success.

Minimum Skills Required:

  • Experience working with concrete
  • The ability to read a tape measure and a blue print
  • The ability to lift up to 100 pounds several times a day
  • General understanding of power tools such as battery operated drills, reciprocating saw, rebar cutters, sanders, miter saw
  • The ability to follow directions from supervision
  • The ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • The ability to work in inclement weather conditions
  • Good housekeeping skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to operate equipment safely
  • Must have reliable transportation
